Was there ever a version where avatar changes were listed on a profile?

I was looking forward to helping a forum with a problem they have, but I can't seem to produce what features they have.
Was there ever a time (or is there a addon) where Vanilla would post a message on someone's wall if they changed their avatar?

Only for the first time when someone joins. Initially depending on what avatar plugin you use, people will get a default avatar. Then when they upload a new image, it might show in the activity page. But all of this is subject to settings and other reward type applications that may or may not be in use.
But Vanilla does not post messages on a user's wall, it is posted on the Activity page and shows on the User profile as well, but it is a result of the Activity and it shows it to everyone not just the User.
See the Activity page https://open.vanillaforums.com/activity
Then go to the person's profile you choose and compare what is posted that is the exact same thing that on the Activity page.
If someone posts anything on the Users page/wall , it also gets posted on the Activity page.
If you wanted to get notifications every time someone changes their avatar, you need a plugin for that which as far as I know does not exist yet.

Thanks for the response!
So this isn't part of Vanila without a addon?
Little bit confused. Sorry.
It is very simple to find that out by using a web inspector tool on the site in question... Is the site in question your site ? are you the admin ? Is it a self hosted site or is it hosted by Vanilla ?

It's a self hosted website. They have a addon (I think or something) which causes a msg to be sent on their wall everytime they change their avatar.
By default a user will see "You changed Your profile picture." on his own activity (https://open.vanillaforums.com/profile/activity)
The forums activity page (https://open.vanillaforums.com/activity) shows "Username changed their profile picture."
That is default and happens without the need of any plugin.
