Addons Site annoyance

I know it's uber beta, Mark, but any chance you could add uppercase versions of the allowed file extensions to the addons site? It's really just a minor annoyance but if you'd be so kind (and if, ofcourse, there's no reason not to)...

Why do you need uppercase file extensions? I find those annoying.

Wasn't he going for some sort of standardization? If he allowed that, files would be all mismatched. Uppercase file names, lowercase extensions and vice versa.

I'd love to be able to sort by most recently updated in addition to the current most recently uploaded. At least I understand that "Most Recent First" only does the latter. It shows the date when a file was updated now in the details, but the file may still be a page or two away in the "Most Recent" sort. If you didn't see a notice here on the forum that an extension was updated/fixed you could miss it.

Hm just saw this topic and had to chime in. Addons have tags, but they're neither clickable nor searchable. so what's the point? I'd like to click on a tag and have all addons with that tag displayed. Maybe it's there and I missed it?

I need to redo the whole thing, but I'm still working on the mini vanilli theme for minisweeper in what little spare time I have.

I'll get to the addons site again soon.

You could add some rss feeds for the addons pages. That addon users could know when thier addons have been upgraded; that addons creator could know is extensions extend classes, if they use library, etc...

And display some of these feeds somewhere on the setting page of vanilla.
