jsConnect failure
mgeezy
New
I am trying to install the jsConnect plugin and I did manually with Filezilla. The plugin appeared listed on the sidebar in Vanilla dashboard now, but once I try to access the settings I get HTML 500 error. I figured out if I rename the directory from jsconnect to jsConnect the error is changing to 'View not found'. Updating the Vanilla didn't help. I would appreciate it if you tell me what is it. Thanks in advance!

@mgeezy
Welcome to the community.
Which version?
According to this discussion:
https://open.vanillaforums.com/discussion/comment/248180/#Comment_248180
you need to use 1.5.3 with Vanilla 2.3
https://open.vanillaforums.com/addon/jsconnect-plugin then scroll down the page - older versions are listed on the right hand side.
Thank you whu606!
That just did the trick. Now I installed the auto sign in plugin as well and followed the instructions from here https://github.com/techjewel/Vanilla-Forum---JSConnect-for-Codeigniter
However, now I am locked out of my forum and upon login I am redirected to my own CMS. If I navigate to the vanilla script from there - it is not logged in. I am locked out now.
I guess I didn't point out to the right authentication url. I wasn't sure where is it. Can you advice what to do to resolve that and log in again?
Sorry, I don't use it, I just remembered that discussion.
This may be a question for @R_J
Sorry, not my competence. @donovanb recently have made several experiences with Vanilla and CodeIgniter. Maybe he is able to assist...
Thank you guys for trying!
