    Don't forget Windows Live Search and (as of today) Ask.com is accepting sitemaps.org. Plus, now you can set up autodiscovery of your sitemaps using robots.txt: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/04/whats-new-with-sitemapsorg.html

    If no-one is releasing one of these I'll write it myself.

    There seems to have been lots of talk, speculation that an extension or two has been written, but no final code. Did anyone actually finish one? Have on running?

    If I write one, it will have a Sourceforge home, it will be an extension, it will take into account the mod_rewrite hack and Page Management hacks and finally it will allow you to add URLs manually. It will also run on a cron and build .gzip files that span at 20,000 urls.

    So... do I write one? Or has someone got the foundations already built?
