Oembed / Onebox for Facebook autolinking...

Does anyone know if oEmbed works on vanilla forums? I've added the Oembed plug, but nothing seems to be happening when I post a facebook link.

I was thinking it would look like the attached image:

But it doesn't.... What am I missing? Also called onebox.
