Hi All, At the Settings/Registration Settings area, reads "When a user is approved for membership by an administrator (if membership approval is required), this is the role to which applicants will be assigned." Re Screenshots: http://forrest2828.backpackit.com/pub/733822 Now i have searched through Documentation, and still can't figure out as where/how do i "activate" or "de-activate" (membership approval is required) ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks forrestRain

I believe you are doing it by assigning an appropriate role to a newly registered user, i.e. put him/her immidiately into a "Members" group with permissions to view/post on the forums.

If the default role (New member role) is "applicant" (applicant is a pseudo role, without any permission), you need to approve for membership.
If the default role is Member, the new user doesn't need any approval.

Edit: if the default role as the "Can sign-in" permission, you doesn't need to approve for membership
