Images with links in mobile theme

When I click an image in mobile theme, it doesnt redirect to the link that I set up but it shows just the image in new tab. In desktop the image with link works. Tried with Markdown and simple html. All I want is when I add <a href="link"><img src="img" /></a> and click the image in mobile theme to redirect to the "link".
