Missing SMARTY {profile_link_notifications} since 2.3

Hi all,
{profile_link_notifications} doesn't seem to work under 2.3 anymore. It creates a link leading to the users notifications page/activity page.
Has it been changed to another Smarty tag with 2.3?

Does anyone have a hint for me on this?
Can you please post the function.profile_link_notifications.php file that you've got? I went backwards to Vanilla 2.0.18 and couldn't find such a Smarty plugin.
