Application Settings/Announcement 1.2 FYI

edited September 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Something I discovered about the way "Application Settings" are saved. When using Addon "Announcements 1.2" you can enter line breaks (<br/>) to make your announcements more readable and everything will work fine - EXCEPT: you will get an parser error whenever you try and save your "application settings" after that. This error can be fixed by uploading (a previously downloaded) copy of your conf/settings.php file. Everything will run happily until you try and save your app settings again. Of course you can always alter your settings manually to avoid this error. Since there are only problems with the <br/> tag when you save the appl. settings, I figure it has something to do with the way the settings are being saved. This is no big deal to me, but I thought I'd make Mark and others aware of it. Great app, BTW. Scott
