Vanilla SMTP Server Errors

I keep getting SMTP server errors when ever I make a change to something in the admin area or if I try emailing members via add on's. Any ideas where I should look to fix this? The Site | http://gliving.tv A fatal, non-recoverable error has occurred Technical information (for support personel): Error Message Unable to send email.     Are you using SMTP settings in your application or relying on your servers sendmail function?

    You might have used a wrong SMTP user name or password.
    Did you use any?
    Are you sure you can use the smtp server you are trying to use?
