How to preview changes when editing a post?

Hi. this is probably more of a theme related issue but when i want to edit a post i don't have a preview button to see how my changes looks like while the quick reply does.
As a side note, I also have issues with the (too) small text area to write down text so if anyone know where i can edit it that would be awesome as well (posted it in another discussion here: https://open.vanillaforums.com/discussion/36052/where-to-change-textarea-size-in-comment-box#latest)
