Moderation questions : notification and viewing pending posts

Hi all,

I have two questions regarding moderation :

  1. Can users view their pending posts anywhere?
  2. Is there a way for users to be notified when their posts are approved/rejected?

    1. As far as I know there is no way for users to see pending posts.
    2. There is always a way but like many things the way would be to write a plugin for that.

    Certainly showing pending posts can be done with a plugin, too. Both plugins wouldn't directly be a good beginner plugin, but if you have some developer experience, it's doable.
