How to disable reCAPTCHA in Vanilla 2.6?
ligyxy
New
I was able to disable reCAPTCHA by setting
$Configuration['Garden']['Registration']['Method'] = 'Basic';
While it Vanilla 2.6, it will still require reCAPTCHA key and enable it in Basic mode. Is there a way to disable it now?

This plugin should still be functional : https://open.vanillaforums.com/addon/nocaptcha-plugin
Ops, I should take a look of the new plugin list.
Simply disable the "reCAPTCHA Support" plugin
Aren't you worried about getting spambots? Just curious.
@snooty I actually use much stricter rule by verifying specific email domain with "Limit Registrations" plugin. "Add Registration Question" might server you better if you are managing a public forum
I see, that makes sense. I kind of like the Registration Question idea over reCaptcha. I know I would rather answer a simple question than click on a bunch of picture tiles.
The "Add Registration Question" plugin by peregrine & me also includes an option to disable the captcha, so you do not need an additional plugin if you are using it.
