Posting non-html links in posts
LPTF
New
Sorry for the newb question.
I'd like myself and if possible my users to be able to include non-html urls as links in our forum posts.
For example, I can currently include an "http://www.whatever.com" link in posts, and it becomes a clickable link. But if I try and include a steam direct connect link, which looks like "steam://connect/1.2.3.4:1234" it looks like a link when posted, but it has been disabled. It points to "denied:steam://connect.." and obviously does not work.
Is there some way around this?
Thanks so much in advance.

"steam://..." is not on the list of allowed url schemes.
