We now have an add-on to allow easy GA tracking on Vanilla forums (thanks ithcy & Dinoboff), but I am having some doubts about the figures which GA provides.

I have used GA for a while on the non-Vanilla part of my site, and at least two stats are questionable:
  • "Visitor loyalty", which measures how many times someone has visited the site before, has scores which are internally inconsistent (I could give more detail if anyone was interested), and
  • some page view times are zero, which doesn't seem possible when GA claims to measure in seconds.
The obvious response is "Who cares?", a lot of this info is not all that necessary for most of us (though it can be fun). But if you lose confidence in the figures you can check, maybe it's all questionable?

I asked these questions on the GA support site, but haven't received any answers yet, but I did notice someone with similar, though different problems. Has anyone here got anything to add please?
