intersections between tags (search for 'car, reviews, good' shows posts that have all these tags) adds follow\ nofollow for posts and could combine these inside one post. Manually adding these could be pain even if 2-4 new posts\ articles are published daily

  • so nobody uses any good CMS they want to brag about ....
  • Wouldnt anything that uses the Lucene query parser do ?
  • About the intersecting the tags, there is an interesting thing about the SQL queries that find the intersection. It can be done with one-join and HAVING clause, or with a multi-join query. I compared both methods, check out the entry in my blog.
  • thanks matthias, I was looking for a readymade solution packed as plugin or something like this maybe I have missed something but how does wordpress handle it? tags 'movies' & 'tarantino'

You would need a tagging plugin for Wordpress. Check out Ultimate Tag Warrior (and lol at the name) - http://www.neato.co.nz/ultimate-tag-warrior/ To quote tha plugin author: "You can also view archive pages and feeds for sets of tags such as the posts which are tagged with both "photograph" and "food"."

mmm, I just checked technorati and delicious and these websites dont provide this. I wonder if blogger beta will reach these heights.
  • I am looking into making a CMS ontop of vinilla, I will provide it "as-is" if I do make it.
  • @addicted: I would use such an extension. All I really need is a wysiwyg way to edit pages that I've added with the PageManager. Of course, the possibility to upload files and images would be useful too!

I have made a CMS before and have learned alot (AKA don't use tables), recently I decided to use Wordpress but hated it. Building a in browser FTP Client isn't hard either. I will see what I can do. I will have an update by the end of the week.
  • Sounds rocking!
  • *waits patiently*
