edited February 2009 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I have Vanill 1.0.1 installed and it seems that Remember me otion on the login page doesn't have any effect. My cookie settings are: $Configuration['COOKIE_DOMAIN'] = '.autourdebeauvoir.net'; $Configuration['COOKIE_PATH'] = '/vanilla/'; Please help!

  • Does it work for any of your users? Have you tried closing your browser session, clearing cookies, and logging back in?
  • Yes, I tryed all of that and with different browsers.

Amen to that. I'm always on huddletogether.com for lightbox and it forgets me every 30 minutes... I gets old after awhile...

  • Strangely enough, I think that my cookies don't last either. If you quit the browser, it seems to lose the cookie where other forums do not.
  • Wierd...It works fine for me logging on my laptop and work PC's and only rarely forgets me.
  • same problem on LaFixed.com
  • One of my users complained of this. He said he'd experiment with the "Remember me" checkbox & report back to us.. he hasn't reported back yet.
  • Most of these issues are due to cookie domain and cookie path.
Try letting these two fields empty. The path will default to / and the domain to whatever is correctly setup in IP/DNS lookup.
  • I have my domain as .mydomain.com and the path is /vanilla/
  • hey guys, remember me isn't working for me either and i don't feel like i'm following the above conversation very well. can someone help me out? i'm hosting my forum at: ya-media.com/vanillaforum i also have domain forwarding on as "freedom-united.com" and i would like to keep masking enabled to masking the domain from ya-media.com to freedom-united.com. i suspect this is what is giving me problems but i could use some help. thanks
