Recent Activity 'settings'? - Changing how or how much info is shown.

in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8

VF: 2.6.4 (2.8.1 soon)

Activity shows up to 5 (per name) this and that joined.

If more than 5 joins on the same day - it is shown as A, B, C, D, E and x others joined.


Is it possible to have every name of who joined shown, how?


I find plenty of discussions/plugins that nuke/remove/disable recent activities but have not seen anything on expanding or changing on the feature.


Please advice :-)

    Yes, nobody loves the Activity feature 😆

    I'd say the magic happens in the ActivityModel. The save() method calls the mergeActivities() method which begins with the comment // Group the two activities together. - sounds promising!

    That method makes use of the classes property MaxMergeCount which defaults to 10. You can change it and see if it helps. I wouldn't know of a clean way to change that only by help of a plugin though...
