Dashboard not showing updated version No (2.8 to 2.8.1) [RESOLVED]

Greetings!

I've recently updated my Vanilla install from V2.8 to 2.8.1, but the version number displaying in the dashboard is still 2.8

Is this normal/expected behaviour or have I borked something up during the upgrade?!

    Welcome to the community.

    No, it should be showing the version you actually have.

    If you have run yourforum/utility/update

    and it is still showing 2.8, then I can only think something has gone wrong.

    I thought as much. I've run /utility/update and it's showing the 'old' version number still. I'll try upgrading again and see what happens!
