  • your theme rules lech, sorry if i wasn't meant to look but i come across it in your profile :P any chance you could share it, please? :D
  • outbreak, nice style! :)
  • I'll be packaging the style once it's done :D I haven't spent much time on it. lol everyone seems to love it.
  • thanks! once vanilla is ready for release, i'll update it so everything's up to speed.
  • it's my favourite style so far lech, good job.
  • 3stripe: I assume you set the size of your logo box since you're using an image there. I also had to do that, but my menu doesn't stay attached to the body, like it does in yours. It sort of floats in the middle. (see: http://digital-cross.com/Lussumo/ ) How do I get it to stop doing that?
  • not sure what you mean exactly - i'm not too hot on this stuff. my layout is a fixed width, and the header image is exactly the right width for the layout, whereas you've got a flexible width layout it looks, so your header will always sit in the top left because of 'left top' in the css. looks ok to me though?
  • Well, I'm completely new to stylesheets so this is really all trial and error for me. What I'm trying to do is move the main menu (the discussion, categories, search, and account buttons) to the bottom of the header, so it is "attached" to the body.

Er, let me put it this way. Instead of the menu being where it is now, I want it to look like this. I have another question in the image as well, if anyone can answer that.
  • It has to do with the div above it not pushing it down like it's suppose to. I ran into the same problem awhile ago. I don't remember what the solution was. You can try adding.

top: ##px; to it where # is the # of pixels it takes to flush it down.
  • That doesn't seem to do it--unless I'm adding it in the wrong part.
  • I'm working on a style of my own at the moment, but until finish and submit it, is it possible for me to offer my users the ones that are offered on these forums? Most of the folders containing the preview.gif files are forbidden. I run the forums for a high school debate team - I'm not trying to screw someone on their design... just trying to give some kids some flava! If it's not possible, no worries, but if it is that'd be great.
  • Oftenk: styles/vanilla/global.css .PanelLink:hover { background: #ffc; font-size: 11px; } Line 383. Change the hover colour. BTW #ffc = #FFFFCC. Hope that helps! M.
  • bad news... we decided not to install a forum in the end on my website... not enough users so it is always silent. SO instead i'm going to turn my theme into a full on vanilla theme, with some green/yellow instead of red/black :-)
  • i've been using your theme for a few days, 3stripe, and it's hot. i had to stop using it because the fonts were a little too big, but i sure like the looks of it.
  • hey thanks for the feedback! what platform/browser are you using out of interest... to my eyes i find the size about right here on pc/ff but then i wear glasses so i'm not the best judge
  • winxp, firefox1.0.4/5/6/deerpark. i have a few machines i use regularly. my complaint isn't with the actual font-size, i guess, i think that font is just gigantic and wide.
  • yeah, was thinking of actually changing the message font to a small verdana, and keeping georgia for headers and buttons, might be easier on the ole eye.
  • i am a little partial to verdana. that sounds fantastic.
  • Sweeney: That did it. Thanks!
  • For anyone testing my style still - it's going to go offline in about a week as I'm shuffling my domains at the moment. Hopefully will have it finished as a full theme for next month. Maybe.
