Base Style 1

So, I downloaded Base Style 1 because it looked like it would be easy to edit the css files. But I'm not really sure where I was supposed to put it. I put it in: vanilla/themes/vanilla/styles/base/

Is that what I was supposed to do? I'm asking because I want to edit some of the colors on the main forum page, but the css file it is looking at is under vanilla/themes/vanilla/styles/default ,not base... How do I change that path, or should I have put base somewhere else?

    You go to Settings -> Themes and Styles. There in the drop downs you make sure the theme 'vanilla' is selected, and the style 'base'. Check 'Apply this style to all users', and save. After that Vanilla should always look for the 'base' style, not the default one.
