How to open images in the same window, and links to a separate tab.

Hello friends,

I'm here again with some more questions about modifying the default behavior of the forum.

1. How to open the images in the same window instead in a separate window? Like a nice popup style window. And if multiple images are uploaded at once, then is there any way to group them and display in a grid style and enlarge them when clicked? (Please see the attached grid example)
2. How to make the links to open in a separate tab instead leaving the forum to follow the link.
3. Is there any way to make some links dofollow if needed?

I've searched the forum and found some posts and modules regarding the above requirements but nothing worked for me.

Hope you'll help me as usual.

My Vanilla version is 3.3.

Please let me know if I have to provide any other info.

Update:-

I've managed to open the links in a separate window by using this plugin, it didn't work when I first installed it, but I tried again and added the plugin's js codes in the theme's custom.js file and now it's working.

So now I just need suggestions for the other 2 requirements.
