Can you rephrase it or maybe give a quick draft of what you like to have?
@R_J in the discussion view a button to switch the question view and in the question view a button to switch the discussion view.
You must enable the "Q&A" plugin in your forum.
That plugin has been disabled in this forum by accident. Based on your question I have noticed it and asked the admins to re-enable it, which they did instantaneous 👍️
I still didn't get you right I think. You want a discussion/question switcher while someone writes a discussion/question, correct?

It seems as R_J stated the forum here just re-enabled it. Awesome! You can find that QnA plugin in the addon section
