Vanilla 3.3 bug with messages

Someone sent me 2 messages here (I got 2 mails as well) and seems like that man has been blocked by the administastration. But I have 2 message notifications. Can't read it. I logged out and logged in again but it didn't help. What's the solution? Hope it will be fixed in the next vanilla versions

By the way I have the same problem on my own forum. How to fix it please? I think somewhere in mariadb?

The easiest thing is to receive a new message. That will fix the counter.
