DiscussionFilters 2 & Participated Threads

edited January 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
How can I accomplish this in the same way as here in the lussumo community? I mean this "Participated Discussions" link. When I install the DIscussionFilters2 Addon all I get are those 4 standard entries: Bookmarked D., Your D., Whispered D., Whispered C. Does anyone have a simple how-to? I'm not very experience in PHP coding.

  • It's a seperate addon. Once you download it open the file in a text editor (eg. notepad) and follow the directions in the file to change how you want it displayed (in the discussion filters or as a tab, or both).
  • Hey, thanks alot SirNot. :D

  • Sorry to bug you again. ;)

I installed "ParticipatedThreads" v1.2 addon but I can't find any "directions in the file" as you say. I expected some explaining comments or s.th like this, but all I can see is a lot of code and some //our little hack, // our major hack comments.

I've got the problem that the "participated discussions" appear in the panel whatever tab is open. But I only want it to show up when viewing the discussion grid or the comments. At the moment it also appears when doing a search, under account tab, under categories tab, ...

Could you maybe explain how to achieve this.

btw. I didn't edit anything within the file. It integrated itself into the installed discussion filter2.

    Cheers

  • Ok, enough people have asked for this I just went ahead and added it into the extension. I also commented the definitions so they'll be a little clearer about what you need to edit. Try redownloading it and see if helps.
  • Perfect. :D

Now that's a man after my fancy. Thanks again for your quick reaction.

  • How to add "Show All" link at the top of participated discussions list? Other discussion filters like "Bookmarked discussions" and "Your discussions" have that link to reset filter, but "Participated Discussions" does not have such one.
  • not really sure, but why not just click on the discussions tab? it does the same thing.
  • Yes, I know, but I want to make uniform user interface.
