Add comment box at end of discussion

For discussions spanning more than one page, i have to go to the last page and there I can see the Add comment form. why can't there be a add comment form on everypage of the discussion

    Well, there is nothing preventing it technically, but in terms of design it could be considered a poor location.

    It is better to 'force' people to read to the last page before they reach the point where they can comment on it, otherwise the discussion may become disjointed and incohesive.

    In other words, a comment should be posted in context of the most recent posts or whole of the discussion, not just its first page.
