Make a reserved nicknames

Hi, I would like to reserve some nicknames? What is the easiest way to do this? I can imagine this somehow can be made in register.php. But where is such file in Vanila idk.

You can add the name to the ban list which will prevent people to register with this name.

Thanks for that, smart solution. What if I need a bulk operations? If I can freely do this through sql in my db? Because my list contanin a city names, can be arround 50 words.

I think the ban list is fairly easy to edit in your SQL database. It has no implications to other tables from what I remembee.

I've made for myself a special tool which generates the sql query insert from csv file (Lazarus, pascal). So, thanks to all!

Hello @noszone have you seen this? all you need is a plugin, no need, if I know correctly, to touch SQL directly.

And this plugin can be used in all your Vanilla instances, all you need is to add all the reserved names you want in the config file.
