Unable to add images

I am running a fresh 3.3 install.
I am unable to add images using the URL. I am getting the "request failed with status code 404" error.
The plugins ImgurUpload and ImageUpload also do not work!

Is your uploads folder writeable?
Yes it is.
Any more suggestions on this one?
