reCAPTCHA error: ERROR for site owner: Invalid key type

Brand-new to Vanilla, just installed v3.3

In testing, I tried to register as new users a regular random user and a "member" who should see all regular categories plus member-only categories.

Either way, the registration screen at the reCAPTCHA window at the bottom just says: ERROR for site owner: Invalid key type

I created the new reCAPTCHA v3 site and secret keys this morning. Next, I've set up Vanilla and I see this problem even after verifying the keys entered are correct.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
