Database connections

I often get this problem with my forum: A fatal, non-recoverable error has occurred Technical information (for support personel): Error Message The connection to the database failed: Affected Elements MySQL.OpenConnection(); The error occurred on or near: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql9.streamline.net' (4) I've spoken to the hosting company and they said they reset the server and increased the number of connections but I'm still getting the same error every so often. It probably happens one in every 20-30 page openings and I'm wondering if this might be an error I can correct within Vanilla or if I should get back onto my host and get them to open up another load of connections. Does anyone have any ideas? Alec

    It's a server issue. How busy is your forum? Probably worth having a word with your host and possibly even moving to a less busy mysql box.
