Damn... it's looks beautyful !!!! *thinking on making a vanilla style for it*

Edit: Would be nice if they want to intregrate Vanilla :D
  • They stole jazz's reflection thing!
  • It looks really good, just installed it, might take a bit of getting use to though!
  • I tried the demo... lots of possibities there. The admin pages are good... the outcome however.. The normal view didn't work for me
  • I'm having a hard time installing it for some reason. Seems like my SmartFTP is being an ass and not uploading all of the files/folders i drag over.
  • that page is web 2.0 extreeeeeeeme. it's indistinguishable from any other 8 billion web pages released this year, which makes me not want to try it.
  • the best part of a cms is not how it looks, but how much it can be extended with plugins. and how strong the community is. So far Drupal and joomla fits the bill.
  • damn you comcast, and your double dealing with time warner. my net has been inconsistent the last week or so since time warner took over Cleveland. it won't kick me off long enough to actually disrupt my online experience. however, it disrupts my uploads just enough that i can't upload the script. i'll try again tomorrow. it does look really nice, as far as customizing, especially with its layout feature.

i also want to play with the templating system and see how hard it is to fit into an actual design.
  • Its interesting, I've been looking at the templating, I have to say Im not to sure about the 'gadgets' and the templating although It seems quite easy at first, I think I'll stick with wordpress, don't bother looking at the documentation, theres just about nothing on it and its all for linux.

I'll probably come back to it in a few months, and see what its like.
  • hahaha garvin my wireless network was doing the exact same thing last night (cant for the life of me work out why). Took me forever to upload it.

"that page is web 2.0 extreeeeeeeme. it's indistinguishable from any other 8 billion web pages released this year, which makes me not want to try it." Wow I thought the same to. Since PHP Nukes Then Word Press I have been afraid to use CMS software I didn't make.

So... i finally got around to using tihs. I REALLY like it. Basically, its a very easy-to-template system that gives you the options of what you run. If yuo don't want a blog, its a straight up static page CMS. If you want to blog, you can have just a blog. Or both. It also gives you the ability to run outside scripts inside, such as Vanilla's latest posts, etc.

Its a real nice little package. The template file is like a 20-line HTML file, like: <div class="header"><img src="logo.jpg"></div> <div class="content">{element}</div> <div class="footer">{element}</div> Its really simple HTML that you can run through CMS if you'd like, or not. Its TOTALLY up to you how you style it. If you want a sidepanel, add it. If you don't... take it off. Its really easy to customize, even for non-coders. You don't even have to mess with the php if you don't want to.

Blogging is as simple as Wordpress, including a WYSIWYG editor if you choose to use it.

I'm actually using it right now for my personal site: http://www.bryangarvin.com/jaws - Most likely will also use it for the business as a knowledge base.
  • Looks nice, now you just want to get Vanilla integrated into it nicely and styled like the rest of the site :)
  • Have we done a Jaws-theme for Vanilla?
  • Con, there's this: JAWS STYLE

It's my favorite, from my favorite themer (Jazz) just needs some updating I think.
  • thanks TomTester, you are the second best. I like it, too.

thanks for reading my mind: is there a latest update on Jaws Style ?
