How to post active links

Hello, I recently installed Vanilla on my website, and I tried posting some links. They weren't clickable, however. I really need to be able to post active links as well as photos. How is this done?

Ok, that worked. But my forum doesn't do that. When I highlight, I don't get options listed below, and I also can't paste images the way I can here.
