Has anyone figured out a Lussumo Vanilla type skin for PunBB? :D :D

    on point #1, the person prefers punbb because it is "blazingly fast". obviously, this is very true. however, vanilla is really fast as well. i have been enjoying the load times. :-)

    I don't think there's much point in giving PunBB the benefit of Vanilla's good looks.

    Why not? skins can be interchangaeble... It you like the looks, why not use it on other software?? I wish Windows Vista would look more like Vanilla :P

    I think Vinilla is the same speed as Punbb I would assume the queries in Vinalla are alot simpler then Punbb's

    In this case it's not about the database queries, but the use of classes and objects. PHP works best with straight-forward scripting. Vanilla uses classes and creates new instances everytime it requires such an object. This slows down the parser which results in a slower page build.
