  • Hey thats pretty cool.

You are a machine dude. Thanks for all your work.
  • Nah... I just don't have a life :P (joke ;))
  • does it require a page refresh to see new content. Or the moment u click on the cheack mark it loads new content or removes using ajax
  • In the first version I had an automated page refresh on click event. But I realised that people wanted to select/deselect multiple categories before refreshing te page. But yes, it does require a page refresh. The extension is really small, because it uses the same technology as the normal category block system on the category tab.

Robots dont need lives jazzman. Just out of interest (since i'm too lazy to download the file and check), does thie extension use its own query or work on the information gained by the standard discussion listing query (i.e. is there a possibility it could slow the forum down marginally). Eitherway it wont be a big hit but it might just be useful information for people out there running big forums.
  • I jsut want to thanks you for alle the extensions you have done
  • No extra queries. It's just the same block mechanism Vanilla already supports. I created it a while ago for my WoW forum. We have 8 class pages (8 categories), but I only need to see my Rogue class discussion. However, as I'm a Guildmaster, I sometimes need to check the other discussions. The category filter is just a simple tool to quickly enable/disable other categories.
