What should I do with my dormant site, sneakergeeks.com, put ads on it?

Hi peeps,

I currently own www.sneakergeeks.com, purchased on behalf of a friend who was going to start a trainer site.

But it didn't go ahead, and I'm wondering if the domain could be worth something?

Would it be sellable? Or should I do something like stick some Google Adsense ads on it in the meantime?

Basically I'd like an easy to generate a little revenue through it... I guess even a nice Vanilla forum with some ads on it might do the trick, I don't really have much time to moderate it though...

It's welcome to affiliate with my sockr.com the web 2.0 soccer sock photo sharing site. It's bound to be a big hit, I'm thinking Yahoo or Google are gonna be in contact pretty soon.
  • is that a whiff of sarcasm i detect there...
  • A faint scent of it, but I do own the domain o_0.
  • You haven't put a reflection under the logo yet, or beta just above the name on the right, so it cannybe truly 2.0 yet...

I think it was this article (http://www.xedant.com/researches/crazy_adsense_experiment.php) that got me thinking about this...
  • I think domaintools.com pays for domain parking... but I wouldn't encourage that since I hate landing on parked domains.
  • And it's not like it's going to get any significant type in traffic.
  • I have some domains on domainsponsor.com as well as sedo.com

We all hate those parked domains, but getting a little money for it (or an offer to buy the site)
is always welcome, and as you may have noticed, those wonderful people where you BOUGHT
the domain already put up a parking page anyway to make money on a domain YOU own...

I like the name by the way. I'll take it off your hands for $8. :-)
  • I put up the parking page myself via www.namedrive.com!
  • Namedrive, eh - sounds interesting. I'm going t give this a try on one of my dorment domains.
