Named categories (friendly category links, category slugs)

I'd like to specify a category 'slug' (wordpress reminology), i.e. a friendly name I can use to link directly to the category.

With this add-on the admin can specify a slug such as 'addonrequests' for category 18 on this board so

http://lussumo.com/community/18/ can (also/instead?) be accessed via
http://lussumo.com/community/addonrequests/

I know this may be possible via mod-rewrite already, but a nice settings add-on would be nice...
