General FCK Editor question

This isn't directly related to the Vanilla extension, but since there are a few people here who know about FCK Editor I thought I'd ask anyway.

I have to use a CMS at work that uses FCK Editor. I go straight to "source" mode and paste in HTML directly rather than go through and try to bend the WYSIWY(N)G editor to my will. Now, when I hit the "Save" button to save the article, it appears that FCK goes through, strips various things out and changes all my white spaces. I hate this, is there any way in the FCK setup options to prevent it from doing this? If there is I will ask the people who built and look after the CMS to implement it.

in config.js add this and see if it works FCKConfig.ProtectedSource = true;
