Hide category drop-down if you only have one category

On the 'start a new discussion' page, is there a way to hide the 'select category for this discussion' and the drop-down below it? i could do display:none for the box, but i don't think the words have a css tag attached?

    Go to your application settings, and uncheck the 'Allow discussions to be categorized' box. The fact that option exists is weird. Perhaps Vanilla should be changed to have no categories until there is more than one specified?

    I suspect, possibly, that in some future revision categories will be taken out all together and turned into an addon anyway. *awaits cries of non puritans*
