Ruby on Rails and Vanilla - single sign on?

edited January 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hi, fairly new to Rails and very new to Vanilla. My project is complete from scratch effort, no legacy issues to worry about or work around. I want my domain to provide users with transparent access to both the Rails app (using mysql) and a BBS. I am not sure which bbs, maybe / hopefully, Vanilla. Several requirements must be met. 1) I need to be able to provide users with single sign on. Whether the sign on is handled by vanilla or by rails, I don't care, as long as one system can propagate sign on to the other system. Does anyone have experience doing this with Rails and Vanilla? Any help or opinions would be appreciated.
