IP Addresses

Is it possible to set Vanilla to use public IP addresses rather than private IP addresses for visitors? The private addresses break a lot of things like IPMap. Mint does this very well in that it displays the public IP and whom it may be proxying for.

    What do you mean by 'private ip addresses'? IPs in the 192.168.x.x/10.x.x.x/172.16.x.x ranges? If so they shouldnt be being broadcast across the internet anyway... Vanilla will record the IP of whatever puts the request in to the apache server to browse the pages.
