What I don't like about Vanilla Categories

edited January 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I'm trying to use Vanilla to power a forum on internet marketing to go with my blog (blog.mindvalleylabs.com). I love vanilla in every way but one of the frustations I have is that I cannot group categories. Our forum has around 20 categories. We'd like to be able to group them in 4 groups - for example: The Group "Gaining Traffic" will include the categories Search Engine Marketing, Blog Marketing, PPC Advertising. So rather than the new visitor seeing.... Categories ------------ 1. SEO 2. PPC 3. Blog Marketing 4. Referrals 5. Blah Blah . . . 20. Joint Ventures The Visitor Sees Categories ------------ Traffic 1. SEO 2. PPC 3. Blog Marketing Relationship Building with Users 1. Email Marketing 2. Customer Service Copywriting 1. Writing for the Web 2. Article Writing ...etc Anyone have any advice?

  • Try running a search on here for sub categories. There's no perfect solutions yet but a couple of decent workarounds i believe.
