Vanilla is Incredible!

edited January 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I just wanted to post a thank you to Mark, and all the add-on developers for creating such a great product. The coding is excellent, and the installation and configuration easy as pie. It also appears that upgrades will be equally as easy since Vanilla clearly has a well-designed architecture. The only places I've run into hiccups is where some of the extensions don't play nice with one-another, or interfere with some of the Vanilla functionality. For example, the Discussion Overview add-on breaks the RSS add-on. It was an easy fix though -- Jazzman's add-ons are great! My only wish is that Lussumo would come out with blogging software. Wordpress is nice, but it has grown organically, and the code is not object-oriented, so the architecture is muddled and upgrade process is clunky if you've customized it at all. Once again, thank you! Vanilla is a Work of Art! Regards, Geoff

Have to agree with ggaudea - Vanilla is indeed a work of art, not to mention genius. I'm not a coder by any stretch of imagination but have been able to get my head around the concept of the forum, with thanks to various individuals in the community.

I think (and hope) that every new Vanilla user feel the same. I am sure I had the same idea of posting such thank you message, but i thought it would be irrelevant... anyway, I agree that Vanilla is truly a work of art!! Thanks to Mark...
