Search for the Flash video player

Let's plumb the power of the community again :)

I am in need of a flash player, a little flash movie to display video clips.
Not an uncommon request in this day of YouTube and Google Video, but I'm looking for a specific one.

It's dark grey/brown, with inset bevelled buttons, and looks a lot more professional than the default YouTube player and some of the other ones I've seen.
I've seen it on several sites now, but I can't seem to track down where it came from.

Flash Player

I'm trying to find one of those sites so I can give an example, but I'm hoping someone will know what I'm talking about :)

Comments

  • look at the source, find what the file name of the .swf that this player is, Google that and maybe you will find an instruction guide for this player. Unless it is called flvpayer.swf , in that case this comment means nothing.
  • That looks sweet. Gimme =)

Based on appearance/toolbar this is the closest thing I could find: http://www.gorissen.info/Pierre/item/2006/5/13/flash-video-player-plugin-test-2 This looks interesting: http://www.xe-media.ch/demo/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=134 transparency: http://www.peldi.com/fmswiki/index.php?title=FLVPlayer And last but not least, look at the skinning screenshot--http://reallyshiny.com/tutorials/flash.php
  • http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=Flash_Video_Player is nice also, easily skinnable and with xml support for playlists. This dude does a neat mp3 player also that's used a lot on MySpace
  • I've found it, it's actually the default player created when you use the Flash Video Player Wizard in Macromedia Flash Professional 8.
I'd never noticed that existed before :D
  • D'oh and double d'oh!
  • LOL - Ah well, at least you found it eh? ;)
