WordPress Integration

edited January 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Just dropping a note here to say that I have tried the WordPress integration found here: http://lussumo.com/docs/doku.php?id=vanilla:integration:wordpress Using the LATEST version of WordPress, which is v2.1, the integration did not work. :)

  • Bugger. I was just about to try that as well :/ Wonder what they changed in 2.1?

Perhaps Mark could take a look at this when he gets back?
  • Let me clarify what I mean by not working. The User Login did not work. Of course, besides the fact that this was done for 2.0.4 and I was using WP2.1; there could be a million other possibilities, including, but not limited to my total ignorance of SQL... :D However, individually installed, both were working. AFTER install, WP2.1 was working fine, but Vanilla stopped working - could not login = could not create categories, nor any other settings... just a nice, plain, empty start page. heh heh...

It worked for me on 2.0.6, my guess is that they changed the DB structure or how the cookies work. The principle should be the same. Edit: did you put Vanilla within the Blog directory? If you don't do this it won't work (I made a thread about how to fix this).
  • Yes. I put the Blog on root, and put vanilla in a sub-dir under that. :) I also realise that the process wipes out everything in the Vanilla Tables... heh heh... should have left the Categories creation till AFTER the integration. :D
