  • wow, not to get off topic, but bergamot, you have the nicest looking vanilla i've seen.
  • I'd go off topic for that. It is beautiful. Well done.
  • Bergamot I use the >=196 and it gives me an error when I install it: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: addtodelegate() in DOMAIN/vanilla/extensions/Quotations.php on line 27 I've renamed your default.php to Quotations.php, and put it in the main /extensions folder. The other files I uploaded to extensions/Quotations/ because that's what I saw in default.php.
  • Damn, doesn't work with 0.9.2 :(
  • Rens - are you on 0.9.3? If you just grabbed it off lussumo.com then you wont be in which case you cant use it i'm afraid.
  • There, I modified the post to be more clear about the requirements.
  • lol?
  • Haha Bergamot, I guess I was a sloppy reader. It's clear now though! ;-) I downloaded the version from lussumo.com. If 0.9.3 is available, is that still a beta or something then? I'd love this extension. My users ave been using phpBB for over 3 years now so I'd like the migration to be as smooth as possible. I'm installing Vanila as a pilot, if it sticks I'm going to use it, if it doesn't we'll remain with phpBB. I love the way Vanilla looks and feels but for the users to like it I might need some more functionality.
  • Rens, yes 0.9.3 is still a beta - it's publically available on the SVN but we advise against using it on a production forum. Especially this late in the game when we're expecting the release of v1 (relatively) imminantly (noone knows when, though, so dont pester :D) which will include with it a nice easy install/upgrade script and whatever else.
  • Too bad extensions are already made for 0.9.3 in that case. My users are still leaning towards phpBB. I'm thinking abuot using Vanilla on my other more private website though.
  • Your users are silly if they are requesting phpBB, do them a favor and ignore them ^-^.
  • I'm using a Textile extension I've linked on the documentation and to quote you cound simpli prefix "bq." to the text block. Simple and effective. I might just add a quote button... If only I knew how to do it :p
  • It would be pretty easy to modify my quote extension to use textile, markdown, or bbcode syntax; I'm just not familiar enough with the first two to do it myself.
  • The TextileCode extension is the one linked in the documentation and makes use of the original Textile function by Textism. In the meantime I'll look to add a quote button to TextileCode, maybe taking it from Whisper... :) In my forum everyone has already managed to use Textile (it's the most natural markup language in my opinion) and the bq. syntax :)
  • Bergamot: will your quote extension be updated to work with the latest version of vanilla when released?
