How do you manually remove permissions?

I need to make only myself the admin and remove the five others. Nothing works when using the user settings options, non admins still have admin privileges.

    I assume you've been using the 'roles & permissions' pages? Is it just not saving the settings there?

    No, its not. There is a way to do it through MySQL, I forgot where to go though. A setting has to change from 1 to 0
