User icon in discussion list

Well I thought this wouldn't be to hard to achieve so I started playing with the code 2 hours later and I relies I haven't got a clue. I basically want the users icon that start a discussions to appear in the discussions list next to the title of the discussion. When you click on the users icon you are taken to there profile.

I would imagine the code needs to go in discussion.php some where ? any help ?

    thanks but yep, I have seen that one and it's not really want I need. jimw you seem like the expert on this sort of stuff. Is this not easily achieved ? I need to icon to appear in the discussion list

    There is another extension called CategoryIcons. It adds icons to the Discussions as well as the Categories. But you want to link the user icon to the Discussion. Let me noodle on this.

    This won't do this. You have to add this to the DiscussionGrid. Since the DiscussionExcerpt extension is working with this grid, I made a mod to this to add the user icon to the Discussion Title. I'm sure there are other extensions that work with this grid that could be modified. If you want to see it in action, you can look at my forum or I can email you this mod.
