Admin Account has lost the 'Settings' Tab

Hi everyone. I have setup my Vanilla foum, and everything was going great. added some plugins, got it all happening. Then, all of a sudden, when I login using the Admin account I had setup and used all day, the Settings tab has dissapeared from the admin page when i login. Now I can't seem to edit anything. Any idea? Many thanks in advance BrisM

  • Is your admin account still an administrator? (check on your accunt page next to your name) If so, try looking in the database (assuming you know how) and see the LUM_Role table. Check out the row in there for the administrator role and see if the permissions are somehow reset. If you're not an administrator anymore, you'll have to change your role manually in the database, and then spend some time working out how you lost your privelidges...
  • In my case the settings tab and account tab didn't appear immediately after leaving the install routine "to have some fun". Done it all 3 times now with the same result, so I can only guess I am missing something and/or that the administrator is not being recognized or assigned permissions from the start. I can't see any mention of who is the admin in the settings.php file else it looks OK. I also can't yet work out the Lum_role table specific to the administrator. Can you assist please on a next step.
  • If you check your LUM_User table in the database is there an admin user in there? If so what's listed as their RoleID? And then what is that RoleID referred to as in the LUM_Role table?
