HTML vs. BBCode

edited February 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I think my problem is that I'm not able to enable both or something to that extent. For example, a user can not quote a response that has a photo in it. If the BBCode box is checked below the response window, only the quote function works correctly and the image shows the path instead of the image. If the HTML box is checked, the image shows but the quote function does not and shows the [cite] heading things. What quote extension and photo extension work in conjunction that will allow a quoted response along with a photo?

Comments

  • Currently, none that I know of. I think we should be asking Jazzman to enable his InlineImages extension to be able to work in anyone's comment, not just the one they were attached to as this may solve the problems you are encountering.

Perhaps quote functions should act as their own independent formatter, rather than rely on another formatter to be installed.

Edit: It looks like Jazzman already thought of that. Whatta guy!
  • So InlineImages pictures works with Quote Text 1.0? I haven't got a chance to test it for a day or so...
