Vanilla / Lyceum Integration

edited February 2007 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I've installed Vanilla and Lyseum on my server; now I need to integrate the 2 systems to talk to each other.
Actually I have one custom php directory, lyceum and vanilla that I want plug all together.
take a look here
Eyelash Extensions Directory

Does any one here have any experience with this 2 (lyceum & vanilla) systems?

I will be posting my progress here to help others as well.

Thank you.

  • Lyceum looks interesting... I guess its a multi-user port of WordPress? then the wordpress integration would be your best start.

    Good luck!

Lyceum does what Wordpress MU was supposed to do. You should definitely check it out...
Lyceum has great admin tools and makes MUCH more sense from a DB perspective (e.g.
it does not duplicate a full set of tables for each additional blog, you can limit users to
a fixed set of plugins, update lyceum once to update all blogs, etc. etc.)

    TT

By the way, I was able to convince the main author of Lyceum to use Vanilla forums on the
developer site based on the tremendous support received in these forums, as well as the
    very good code / security.

I really need a nice way to integrate users from lyceum and vanilla also that would be sweet!
  • I think the wordpress instructions by mark should do the trick...
